Takeshita (竹下), also called The Man (男), is one of the main character of the planned anime series Despera.
He is assisting Ain by selling, to the Japanese military and aristocracy, the services of her inventions to fund Ain's works.
Story[]
Takeshita is a Japense man in his 30s who is an associate of Ain's. He claims to be able to see the future through the displays on Ain's computer monitors and sells these information, known as prophecies, to the Japanese military and the aristocracy to fund for Ain's inventions.
He is sometimes referred to as "The Man".
Personality[]
He is a cold and stoic individual, described as being emotionless, and only displays deep affection for Ain.
He seems to be also very secretive as he has often his face hidden, in the illustration, and as he has the mysterious surname of "The Man".
Appearance[]
Takeshita is a slender Japanese man with tan skin, brown hair and brown eyes. He has neck long straight hair.
He has a long and square face with often a serious expression.
He is usually seen with a white shirt under a sleeveless black vest, also wearing black pants and a tie. Some illustrations depict him with a long coat or a kimono.

Ain[]
Both Ain and Takeshita work in the Ryōunkaku basement, they are both associate. Ain created computer monitors able to predict the future and her associate, Takeshita, sells these "prophecies", to the Japanese military and the aristocracy to fund for Ain's inventions.
As Takeshita is older than Ain, who is not an adult yet, Takeshita play as a father figure for Ain to who he shows a deep affection.
